Development of the Rubber Industry

Development of the Rubber Industry

The rubber industry
At first most of Indonesia's natural rubber is traded in the form of rubber sheet rubber smoke crunches (RSS = ribbed smoked sheet), but since the technology was introduced rubber crumb (crumb rubber) in 1968, rubber production in sit down, switch to rubber crumb, not less than 90% of national production of natural rubber is rubber crumb every year.

Demands a high demand from the transportation sector to natural rubber filled with hard rubber sheet, rubber because this type requires a long processing time that is 7-14 days. With crumb rubber technology, rubber materials quickly though, less than 1 day can be processed into the raw rubber is ready for sale. In addition, the quality of the rubber crumb assessed based on the results of physico-chemical analysis, so it is considered more "fair" than the quality of the rubber sheet were assessed only on the basis of visual observation and is subjective.

High market demand for crumb rubber to be used as materials for engineering components especially motor vehicle tires, and supported by guarantees availability of raw materials (if rubber material), led to the development of crumb rubber technology today is so rapid. In 1969 there were 65 factories, is now about 115 active crumb rubber factories operating in Indonesia.

Lateks rubber
At the time of the rubber sheet natural rubber production still dominates, farmers play a role as a producer of latex, and many are used as well as rubber processing to sit. However, since the application of crumb rubber technology, farmers generally only acts as a provider if a lump materials and slab. If the lump is a material made from rubber latex is coagulated into a bowl shaped around 10-15 cm in diameter, while the thin slab-shaped beam to measuring approximately 35cmx50cm, 20 cm thick.

If rubber material from farmers sold to final processors that crumb rubber plant to be processed into crumb rubber types SIR (Standard Indonesian Rubber) 10, or SIR 20. Treatment involves a series of processes ranging from size reduction, washing, homogenization, drying and packaging.

Rubber Roller (Rubber Roll) is one of many components applied in a variety of industries around the world. Made of rubber with NBR material, non-NBR, Urethane, etc.. As cylindrical iron in the middle. This component is usually used as one component of drive on Conveyor Belt Unit, Printing Machine, Transporting Unit in the Canning Industry and Food - Beverages, etc..
